« The Sit Up Using Stability Balls | Home | The Oblique Attack using your Stability Ball »
There will be times when you will feel that a certain exercise no longer fit the demand of your body. When this moment arrives, what you need to do is to shift into a new program so you don’t end up wasting your time and effort into something that does not give you any good. The time when you are able to master the basic sit up skill, it is about time to do the advanced level of sit up. In this exercise, you simply have to add a little resistance to what you are doing in order to really help you hit the abs and for you to competently work your knees, ankles, and hips.
By holding a thing that weighs about 8lb, you can start the process of exercising. You need something to hold on to for resistance. Try getting a medicine ball or a dumbbell, whatever is available in your place. Of course, you can always adjust the weight in order to suit your personal preference. Bring the medicine ball as far as you can for you to really stretch out your back and for you to be able to create longer range of action with resistance.
To end the activity, follow the basic rule of not going all the way up. Furthermore, there is a need for you to concentrate in your goal of bringing the ball into the ceiling. Try not to do a sit up, what you need to accomplish is a basic sit up and perform an extra push while trying to bring the ball into the ceiling; doing this activity will help you focus in your goal of hitting the lower abs.
You can do this activity for up to three sets of ten. You need to do this activity after you performed the basic sit up. Never ever try to do this by skipping the basics first so you don’t end up hurting yourself in the long run. With the basic workout, your abs will experience a great workout but with the advanced training, you will have the chance to attack your abs!
In executing this activity, always be mindful about the proper posture. Don’t try to push yourself to the limit, if you sense that there is no way for you to be able to hit 3 sets then let it pass. Your body will just tell you when it is ready.
