In everything that people do, rules are always there. Rules are important in order to ensure that people are protected from any kinds of accidents that may take place along the way. In exercising, there are also sets of rules and guidelines to be followed.
 
Among the most important thing to remember is to never start any program without getting the approval of your physician first. Although you won’t need any paper that will certify that you are fit to exercise before you can really commit yourself to it, still, it would be better if you can ensure that your body is fit for the certain training that you are going to do. People who are suffering from medical conditions as well as injuries should ensure that their body can take the stress of any physical activity before submitting oneself to it. Keep in mind that all forms of exercises have their own dose of inherent risks that should be avoided by people.
 
If you are just starting out, never try to lift heavy weights alone. This is also true among those people who are injured and experiencing some kind of fatigue. Never attempt to do any kind of exercise not unless a certified personal trainer or a certified strength and conditioning specialist allowed you to see how to perform the exercise properly. Never fail to ask for instruction and assistance when you are lifting. It’s wrong to think that you can be like Superman who can carry any amount of weight. It is also a must to do warm up exercises during strength training as well as interval training.
 
As a rule, you need to see your physician first before you can start any exercise and even nutrition program. In case you are taking some kind of medication, talk to your physician before starting out any program. If ever you felt a little dizzy along the way or if you experienced a shortness of breath, stop what you are doing and consult a physician the soonest.
 
The same thing is true for people who are sedentary, possess high level of cholesterol, suffering from high blood pressure, with diabetes, overweight, and if you are 30 years of age and older.
